The hot towel shave. Forty minutes of doing nothing.
The old-fashioned wet shave: hot towels to soften everything up, hot lather, two careful passes with a cut-throat razor, then a cold towel and balm. The closest shave you'll get, and a lie-down in the middle of the day.
Sample price for a fictional shop.

Ask for Kasia
Kasia runs the hot towel chair. If you're booking ahead, ask for her.
Asked at the counter
- I get a rash from shaving. Will this?
- Usually not. The hot towels and the single sharp blade are exactly what stops it. Tell us if you've got sensitive skin and we'll go with the grain only.
- Is the razor clean?
- A new single-use blade goes into the cut-throat for every client, opened in front of you, and the razor is sterilised between shaves.
- Should I have it the day before a wedding?
- The morning of, if you can. Groom and groomsmen can come in together before we open on a Sunday. Ask with the form below.
